Wednesdays Lesson

Today we have been carrying on with editing the footage we have so far for our music video. This is what we have created so far - 

Using iMovie and Garage Band

We have began to edit our new filming and beginning of our video. To do this we have used iMovie and Garage band. We have chosen precise moments within our shots to put together our music video so it flows well throughout. We have also used garage band to cut out parts of the audio that we do not want in order for it to fit our video better. Images below -

Filming

We got together Monday to film our train station scene. All in all we found this pretty successful although we filmed the shots in a portrait angle because we were not able to fit everything we wanted in the shot. Due to this we have had to rotate our filming to a landscape angle to fit the screen which means we may have to go back on a later date to re film some of the shots.

Costumes

Like we have said throughout we want our video to be based on every day life and in order for this to be pursued we need the actors dressed appropriately. 

As shown we think this outfit is suitable for Lucy. Jeans, jumper and boots are casual everyday life clothes which will contribute to making our video look realistic. We will not be copying this look exactly but this is the kind of idea the costume will be based on.

As shown for the male actor Rhyce, is a white t-shirt, jeans and normal black trainers/shoes. This is a very casual look and will also contribute to making our music video look realistic and will help pursue the narrative to our music video that we aim to create.














Both of these outfits relate to our target audience and will allow our video to be possibly, personally relatable to the real lives of our audience.

Filming

We have now put together a more reliable time schedule for when everyone is free to film. This should now enable us to get more filming done and hopefully finish all our filming in 2 weeks maximum.

We have put together a grid so we are all aware of our free periods so that we can use them up by filming for our music video.

iMovie

None of us have ever used iMovie before so we have all decided to have a little go on it with our draft filming. We thought it was important that we had some experience with iMovie before we begin to edit the actual footage for our video.
